A good tire and, IMHO, the best of the few options for the Kaw ZG1000. No problems with ordering or delivery. Shipped surprisingly quickly. I'll use Chaparral again, soon.

Awesome tire awesome service and this tire changed my Yamaha Roadstar Warrior in to a crochet rocket. It has way better feel and handling then my stock Bridgestone tire ever thought about being.

I love my Avons. Will never buy anything else. They never lose their grip no matter how far I'm leaning. I ride a 2004 Kawasaki ZRX1200 and I ride fast and hard. I have tried all kinds of tires and I always come back to Avon. A little on the expensive side but well worth it.

Installed on a 86 BMW K model to replace the bias ply tires. I installed the rear Avon 1st and rode it for a few days. The biggest change I noticed was on curves, the front bias ply tire slipped out more on the "road snakes" than the rear radial Avon by a noticeable amount, and I am a 67 year old non-knee drager. I have heard that the Avon's don't wear very well and if they don't last as long as the ME 880's they replaced then I'll try a different brand next time. I haven't had a chance to ride them on wet roads yet, no rain in Utah for several months.

Avon Storm tires
Review by Joe Velasquez from Rigby, ID on 4/28/2013
This is the third set of Avon Storm tires I have put on my BMW R1100S. The second set of Storm II Ultras. To put it bluntly, these tires ROCK! Unbelievable traction, unmatched wet weather grip, and they warm up as fast as any tire I have ever ridden. And believe me, I have ridden them all. I have only one minor quibble: After about 3500 miles the tire begins to cup, just outside the center line on the left hand side. This happens with every brand of tire I have ever mounted on my BMW, and the Storm II Ultra doesn't begin cupping until far later than any other tire I have mounted, so all in all, I can't complain. You won't either. They may cost a bit more, but they are worth every penny.
