I bought this helmet as an upgrade from my HJC CL-SP. I had a hard time putting out that much money, but kept coming back to this helmet every time. I shopped around for about three months. Finally bought this and have been pretty happy.
PROS:
- comfort
- fit
- looks
- awesome aerodynamics
- light weight
- visor open/lock/change system is perfect
CONS:
- lacking cooling airflow
- every pic you see shows it with dark smoke shield, any website, but it arrives with a clear shield....... If I would have known this I would have ordered a smoked shield at the same time I ordered the helmet, taken advantage of free shipping on the shield as well. Now I have to pay for shipping!

Amazing Helmet, Shopped around for 6 months before I finally decided to buy The BELL RS-1 Cataclysm Helmet. Very soft / comfortable lining, feels like your face is getting a massage when putting it on. Very lightweight, breathes really well and you can crack open the visor using the thumb switch. Easy to clean and easy to remove the visor. Excellent Field of View, almost feels like you're not wearing a helmet at all. Love the strap magnet so you can keep the excess strap material from flapping around. Fully removable inner lining material makes cleaning a "Snap". Head checks up to 80 MPH are Effortless and don't require much more above that range. More comfortable and breathes better then the SHOEI RF-1100. Downfalls Include: Wind Noise above 75 MPH but not a big issue, Hard to find parts here in California since most places don't stock Bell Helmets (they can order), but since they're located in CA the parts ship and arrive fast; Plastic Thumb switch for weight savings some have had issues with them breaking but it is covered under the 5 year Warranty and Bell at request usually replaces them with the Aluminum Switch off the STAR Helmet, also I personally have not had that issue occur... The Helmet Grabs a lot of Attention and I receive a ton of complements. Very Aerodynamic and stylish. Bell spent a lot of time, R&D into this helmet and it shares a lot in common with its big brother the "STAR". Best Bang for the buck, Highly recommend it to anyone looking for an amazing helmet.
