  • Compounds provide regular wear, while optimized pattern design provides much longer wear life than Bridgestone's previous sport tire (BT-014) in any riding mode
  • Computer designed profiles maximize the lateral stiffness (grip) and maintain linear contact pressure at all lean angles (handling)
  • Tread pattern design achieves a noticeable reduction in tread noise
  • Convex tire profiles give quicker and lighter handling in tight corners
  • Designed for passionate riders who enjoy cornering with deep lean angles
  • Sport tire designed to maximize the performance of sport bikes on the road today
  • This motorcycle tire is tubeless
  • These sport touring motorcycle tires are Z rated for speeds up to 149 mph

    Tire Compound:
  • 5 Layer Compound (5LC) offers ideal grip performance demanded in all riding modes
  • Center compound offers good stability
  • Shoulder compound transfers engine power to the road with strong traction
  • Edge compound offers strong side grip and solid contact feel at deep lean angles and offers great line-holding performance that feels like riding on rails

    Tire Construction:
  • Mono-Spiral Belt construction: A continuous single strand of cord is wrapped around the circumference and serves as a belt of a tire, eliminating overlapping of belts, seams, and joints
  • Mono-Spiral Belt construction makes the tire lighter than conventional multi cross belt construction, has more stability since it minimizes heat generation inside the tire, and gives high shock absorption
  • High Tensile Super Penetrated Cord (HTSPC): Features a 1X5 filament, rubber insulated steel Mono-Spiral Belt allowing more flexibility than other types of the steel used by competitors, reduces heat generation, and provides stability without deteriorating shock absorption
  • Steel belt construction provides good bump absorption, grip and stability during high speed riding

    Tread Pattern:
  • Rear tire has high negative ratio to enhance cornering grip and cornering stability
  • L shaped grooves enhance bump absorption and rear-end steering
  • Grooves do not cross tread center area providing both wet performance and strong traction. High speed durability is also maximized
  • 6% negative ratio maximizes dry grip and improves wear life

Available in the following motorcycle tire sizes: 150/60ZR-17, 160/60ZR-17, 170/60ZR-17, 150/70ZR-18, and 160/60ZR-18

Very pleased with the tire so far. Very stable and corners well. No problems with handling ruts or cracks in the roadway. Chaparral made the buying and shipping fast and easy.

At 3000 miles this tire started losing air slowly but predictably effectively going flat after a few days. Anyway at 3k it also shows significant signs of wear - I figure it has at most another 1000 miles left in it. Lesson learned: spend 30% more on quality tires such as Michelin Pilot Road 2's to get over 100% miles out of them. These Bridgestones are cheap and rightly so.

I bought a pair of these on sale here for $188 shipped. An awesome set of tires. My bike is a 2008 FZ6 and the turn-in is great. The tires are smooth and stick like glue at all angles. Wear ratio is looking like 2 rears to front. It'll be at or into the wear indicator on the rear at 4000+ miles. 6040 use of highway and twist. I'd do it again but it would be nice to see more miles out of the rear claiming dual compound. Overall very satisfied but dropped star for tread life.

First time purchase of the tire winter in Indy 43degrees outside pulled out of my driveway and she stood right up on a cold road cold tire with no miles on it. Since then the they have only gotten better. I will never buy another tire.

Solid performance tire all around. I'll give up a little tread life for traction stability and cornering any day..Probably the most underrated tire on the market today. When other tire companies are scrabbling to come up with the next hot tire the Bidgestone 016 has been here all along.
