I purchased this tire from Chaparral for my 02 Honda VTX 1800C
for two reasons. The first being that I have had this tire previously and I was able to get over 11k miles. The second reason was that Chaparral has the best price around hands down.
Front tire for Rune

I bought this tire as a direct OEM replacement for the front tire on my Honda Rune. The original equipment tire was gone in 2800 miles! I'd heard that Dunlop developed this tire specifically for the 3004 Rune and did a poor job on the rubber compound in the original lot which were mounted on the Runes. I had also heard that the new replacement tires wore much better than the originals, and since I still had the original Dunlop D251 rear tire with lots of tread left on it, I decided to give the new Dunlop D251 front another try. We'll see. Even brand new, the tread depth seems very shallow, but time will tell on how long it lasts. As expensive as it is, and as much as it costs to have the front tire on a Rune changed, I certainly hope the new one last much longer than the 2800 miles of the original!
