I guess is just a filter but the reason i choose this one over the OEM is that the K&N filter has a "nut" on top of the filter for easy installation and removal. Plus it's a K&N. My Ducati likes it.

Just a good solid product. No problems, since I am some distance from a MC shop that would carry such a filter the mail delivery is great even thought the shipping and handling charge is a bit high for one at a time.

Pretty good filter and cheaper then BMW filter. Being K&N user for years I trust K&N, but the filter is flimsy in the nut for removal of this filter. The nut slips readily and can strip forcing a complete destruction of the filter to remove. I had to destroy till I was able to insert needle nose vise gripes to remove. This can be fixed by making the nut square not 'v' shaped. Grease well before installing, and careful on removal.
