Maxxis M7304D owns! This is a great tire for the money. I run it on my XR250R and it performs great. Great desert tire.

This has been a great dualsport tire for a KTM EXC450. It has all but eliminated rim punctures and wears well. It pulls out of ruts easily and tracks perfectly at high speed. Braking is consistent. If you are bushwacking lower the air pressure to single digits. It makes a real difference. I used to buy the cheapo's and changed them every ride. This tire has changed that.

The Maxxis Desert IT is the best front tire for the rocky desert or slimy mountain single track. Grip is excellent and even wears good on the pavement (dual sport). Best all around front tire, in my opinion.
Lasts, but stiff

Front tire lasted and performed fairly well on a 1000 mile trip through Baja, which included some limited pavement when necessary. Still has plenty of tread left, so will last another couple shorter outings without problems. It's a stiff sidewall, though, and you feel it. Since front wear/tear are generally not a problem for me, I will be going with a different, more compliant tire next. I have nothing but hatred for this tire's companion rear, however. See my review for the Desert IT rear titled "do not buy".
