Noisy

Tire stick well but has a lot of road noise. Riding straight is tolerable but as soon as you lean there is noise that sounds like a bearing growl.

I ride a 2008 Kawasaki Concours Sport Tourer. I ride "aggressively". The Michelin Pilot Road handles everything I can throw at it. It sticks like glue on dry pavement and extremely stable. Wet weather traction during Florida torrential rains is excellent. I also got almost 10k miles out of them. Much better than the Bridgestones POSs that came from the factory. Admittedly they are a bit pricey but truly worth it. I can't wait for the next gen PR3s.

I previously rode with pilot power's front and rear and was impressed with the dual compound technology (especially for street riding). I did however begin to use my ZX-7R for commuting more than play and I wanted to get longer tread life. This is my second purchase of the Road 2 for my rear (I still use the power up front) and I am highly impressed with it's traction (wet and dry), longevity (14k+ miles of semi-aggressive highway/street), and stability. Only once have I had the tire break away from me and that was in the rain as I was merging from a highway on-ramp to the highway at faster than necessary speeds. The tire is sticky enough for play on the sides and hard enough in the center for highway longevity. This dual purpose tire works well. I give it an A+.
