I have a R1200RT with stock saddle bags and no trunk. I ordered an XL and it fits perfectly. The rear covers the saddle bags completely. If I had a trunk the cover would also fit but wouldnt cover the saddle bags as good. The fanny pack thats included is fairly compact.

Since I commute, I found this cover to be very useful to keep my bike cool, clean, and from fading. For a universal cover, it fit pretty good; as if it well made for my bike model.

Nelson-Rigg never disappoints. Have owned at least 4 of their covers, and still do. Also have 2 piece raingear. Only issue is that the medium cover is too small for my 2002 Honda VFR. So will give this one to a friend and order the large. Karma going out. A great feature is the waist pack that the cover fits in when rolled up. Great when other bags are stuffed, just buckle it around your waist. Also, we have used the cover during a trip to Disney for over our tandem (big) stroller as rain protection! Multipurpose!

I own a Yamaha Venture Royal Star, fit is great. I park the bike in a very windy area during the day and this cover stays on.
