Tire Split

Usually a good value for the money but this last one I put on split down the right hand tread after 4 months. I still had about 50% tread left. I probably won't be buying any more Shrinko's after this.

Shinko

I have used these Shinko tires for years and have no complaints. Especially since Shinko came out with the radial tires for the bigger bikes (the bias ply front tires tend to separate on big bikes like the 1200 GS.) But then I've had much worse failure with a premium Metzler front tire. I ride aggressive off pavement and on and have found the tread is good for both. Since a lot of the on-road has been around Seattle where rain is the rule that speaks well for wet traction.
Pros: :
  • Excellent Traction

Tird time is a charm

Yes indeed; this is my third Shinko 705 Series Dual Sport Tire in one year and half. I run about 56 thousand miles on the rear and three times as much on the front and I ride a lot fast and with the biggest bike out there: the GS. Good soft quality tire that will keep you hanging in the wet and get you out to the Mojave sand with a wheelie to. Just a bit short in life but for the price it is the best out there. Not to mention when you order from Chaparral you find it at your door in no time.

Great tire for the money ! 12 the price of a Metzler and last just about as long. Good overall traction on wet and dry surfaces.
