I like boots with the inner booties. I've busted my ankles pretty bad in a pair of cheap boots. Since then I've been wearing the Tech 8's...until I tried the TCX Pro 2.1 Boot. Comfortable from the beginning with great protection and they seem to last longer than the Tech 8's. The TCX Pro 2.1 is the best value out of all the high end boots.
