The new two-year agreement will ensure that Reed and TwoTwo use Friction Modified Thumper Racing Oil, Thumper Gear Saver Transmission Oil, Blue Tac Chain Lube, and 6 in 1 Multi Purpose Lubricant in all of their racing and test bikes. Reed will be competing in AMA Supercross, which kicks off this weekend, along with AMA Motocross this season.
“Chad Reed sets the standard for racing and what it means to compete at the highest level. His independent spirit, passion, commitment and determination to win championships makes TwoTwo a perfect partner for us,” Jennifer Liquori, chief operating officer for Bel-Ray, said in a statement. “We strive to be a leader in the lubricants industry and we are proud that champions like Chad win with our products.”
The company hopes that Reed’s popularity and visibility will lead to increased sales for the brand among racing enthusiasts.
Last month, Reed signed a new deal with Honda to ensure factory support for his company through the 2012 season. Before that, the rider was independently financing his bikes and motorcycle parts.
