Dani Pedrosa Dominates Friday Test
Repsol Honda’s Dani Pedrosa dominated the Friday testing ahead of the German Grand Prix this weekend, and the Spaniard is likely the favorite given his track record at the Sachsenring.

Pedrosa has won the last two MotoGP races in Germany, and he showed his predilection for the track during Friday practice. In both wet and dry conditions, Pedrosa was the fastest around the track with a lap time of 1:22.357. Despite this, Pedrosa was lukewarm about his performance.

“Today I’ve been using the new chassis we received in Assen and the feeling was ok, but weather permitting, I would like to compare both chassis again tomorrow before qualifying,” he told Crash.net.

Hot on Pedrosa’s heels was his teammate Casey Stoner, whose best lap clocked in at 1:22.444. After last week’s wild race in Assen, Stoner is now tied for the points lead with Jorge Lorenzo and is looking to pull away from his Yamaha rival in Germany.

Meanwhile, Lorenzo finished third with a respectable time of 1:22.647. The Spaniard told the news source he is still hurting following his crash with Alvaro Bautista, but should be set to go this Sunday.
