Dani Pedrosa Wins As Casey Stoner Goes Down
The twists and turns keep on coming in MotoGP, as Dani Pedrosa cruised to victory after a Casey Stoner crash at the recent German Grand Prix.

Pedrosa continued to prove he’s the best at the Sachsenring, winning at the track for the third straight time, reports Crash.net. To do so, he had to beat his own teammate – Australian Casey Stoner.

The two Honda riders were clearly the best on the track, but only one would finish the race. On the penultimate turn, Pedrosa was slightly ahead as Stoner prepared to pass. But the front end of the bike got away from him, and he went sliding off the track at a high rate of speed.

Stoner was uninjured in the crash, but his title hopes took a significant hit. Last week, Stoner tied Yamaha’s Jorge Lorenzo for the points lead after Lorenzo crashed. Yet Stoner’s crash has now handed the lead right back to Lorenzo, who finished second. Andrea Dovizioso got on the podium in third place.

Pedrosa was happy with the win, becoming the first rider other than Stoner or Lorenzo to claim victory in MotoGP this season.

“I’m very happy after so many races in second and third, winning is a great feeling. I want to give it up to my team and all the people around me. Thank you,” Pedrosa told the news source.
