Awesome handling and feel for the road. What a difference it made. No vibration at low or high speeds. Rand awesome in the rain. Hope to get at least 19k out it . I like the feel of the tread pattern, hugs the corners well.

These tires grip the road just like the Venoms. I have an Avon Venom on the front and an Avon Storm II on the rear (160/70/17) of my Harley Dyna Super Glide Sport (FXDX)and I can put the bike through it's paces on the crazy roads of SoCal. I do have dual discs on the front, a steering damper and a fork brace plus rear is built too but it will put a lot of the sport bikes to shame.

Fitted front and rear to an M2 Buell Cyclone 1200 cc sports motorcycle. Inflated strictly to manufacturer's recommendations. Riding style, solo sporting, extensive preference for winding country roads (insignificant chicken strips on rear tire). Lots of hard acceleration, very occasional power wheelies, no burnouts ever. Had no problems. Rear tire lasted 10,000 miles when changed; even wear, still usable - changed because about an inch width of the center tread worn to the point that the tread groves were gone and a lower strata of slightly different color rubber was just becoming evident. Front tire still fine with plenty of life left. Happily replaced the rear with a tire of exactly the same type. Interesting to note that the rear drive belt, which was fitted at the same time as the tires, and was a Carlisle RPP Panther Ultra-Cord, failed by stripping teeth at exactly the same 10,000 mile distance.

The best tire I have ever had on my bike.I have a 2004 Kawasaki ZRX1200 and the Avon Tires are the best Ive ever had. Great traction, never loses its grip on any corner. I can lay it over to the ground and never worry about sliding. They are a little expensive but well worth it.

I bought this tire for a rear replacement on my 2002 Yamaha road Star Warrior. I had previously been running Metzeler. After continually getting only 3,000 miles out of a $325 tire, I started looking for other options. I had read a lot of reviews on the Avon Storm two tires and that people were getting 10,000 to 12,000 miles out of a tire. After ordering, and speedy shipping from Chaparral I had the tire mounted and balanced. So far I have put on 1,000 miles. My findings thus far, great smooth ride, not as sticky in the corners as the Metzeler but I haven`t had any problems, this is a medium compound tire on really hard launches the tire breaks loose unlike the softer rubber tires. With 1,000 down tire looks like it was just mounted no signs of wear. All in all this is a great tire for the money holds its own in the corners and has what appears to be a good balance of performance and durability

Got a little over 11,000 miles on this same tire and bought this replacement due to being very pleased with the 1st one. I have gotten as much as 15,000 miles with Avon tires on my Goldwing. This tire was on my Meanstreak.

I have tried just about every tire out there and the AV55 and AV56 Avon tires are by far the best. A little more expensive but well worth it. No matter how far I lean I get stability with the best traction. they never lose traction. Love them and will continue to buy them.

This is the third set of Avon Storms (second Storm II Ultra) I have mounted on my BMW R1100S, and I couldn't be happier. They have unbelievable grip, unsurpassed wet weather traction, and they warm up as fast as any tire I have ever ridden, and believe me, I have ridden them all. Yes, you can buy a less expensive tire, and you will get a lower performing tire. Spend the extra money and be sure you are buying the best sport touring tire out there.

Will run flat, and is hard to tell when it is flat. Tread life is shorter due to softness, but a welcome sacrifice for performance. Outlasts others in its size and speed 2 to 1
