The Avon av72 and the Avon av71 worked great on my Valkyrie. I have past the 11k mark. I'm ordering another set just like these.

I have come to rely on Avon's on several large CC bikes over the years. I recently completed a week in the Smokies (lots of curves) and a run to Sturges and surrounding states via the Denver area Rockies on my Rocket III Touring. With over 9K miIes on the mounted tire I ordered a new front tire because it's on sale not out of necessity "yet".
Pros: :
  • When A rocket III corners like a cat, IT's all good.

Avon Cobra is the best all around tire you can run on a heavy cruiser. These tires make running through the sweepers completely effortless and stable.

Recently purchased the Avon Cobras for the front and rear of my night train. I couldn't be more pleased with the performance. The handling is flawless corners like my street bike traction is great does great in the rain doesn't wander on grooved roads anymore and the ride is softer. I can't comment on longevity but the day after I mounted them I went on a 2200 mile trip to New Mexico and these did great. I'm sticking with these for good and also Chaparral Motorsports had the best prices I have found.

Just installed on 08 Road King Classic. Went for 200 mile ride this weekend. Feel really good. Rollin through the twisties was smooth. Riding across grooved pavement also seemed smoother than other brands I've tried Dunlop Metzler. As long as these grip well in the rain which there is a lot of around here and I get decent mileage out of them I'll probably be sticking with these. Best tires I've had on the bike thus far. Tires installed are Avon Cobra. front MT90-16 rear 14090-16
