I am using the BikeMaster HID on my Harley Heritage Springer set in a 7" Bosch unit. I was running a 100W80 W halogen bulb but was not too pleased as to the seeing ability of the halogen especially on the White Mountain curves. I run some off-road also and was several times surprised by deer and moose. The HID gives me a longer as well as brighter picture in these instances. Also seems to pick up red-eyes better than the halogen as well as less worry as to my wiring due to the lower current draw of the HID.The installation was somewhat of a PITA as the Harley wiring is fairly tough to wander around in. Also I would like to see a brighter unit offered as my thought is more is better!Overall though I am very satisfied with this unit and plan to install another one on my second machine.

So happy I got the hid so bright it makes my highway light look yellow also a lot wider beam. Installed them on my 1100 v star. Instructions are very poor. You have a red and a black wires that are 3 ft apart and it does not tell you where the wires go. They all fit inside the headlight just run the red wire to battery. Great improvement on my bike!

Overall the quality of this lighting kit can not be faulted. Has the newer style small bodies ballast allowing it to fit places the older large bodied ballast would not fit. Most importantly did it enhance night time vision?? Yes incredibly so. Once aimed correctly it not only has a much deeper reach down the road but the side lighting is almost enough to override the Piaa 1100X's I have for side lighting and daytime riding lights. Keep in mind the typestyle of headlamp lens and reflector has more effect on this than a brighter lamp. But I'd be remiss if I didn't mention these are the worst set of instructions I have ever seen. There is two sets of identical plugs and sockets but only ONE will work with the original headlight connector. Zero identification in this regard. Nor is there any info on the size of hole needed in the dust guard (if applicable
