Bridgestone Battlax BT-021G Sport Touring Radial Rear Tire - Details

  • Sport touring tire designed to provide stability on highways and perform just like a sport tire on winding roads
  • Features unique SACT (Straight And Cornering Technology) System with underlying Cap and Base construction
  • By combining two different rubber compounds, the result is a tire which delivers long-wearing durability for upright everyday riding, plus aggressive shoulder grip when cornering
  • Dual Tread Compound (3LC) offers long lasting center compound and softer side compound
  • Center compound secures long mileage and durability, while the tread edge compound secures grip and traction in corners
  • Traction enhanced shoulders and a mileage boosting center line
  • Cap-and-Base construction in the underlying layer controls tread stiffness as well as providing reinforcement, shock absorption, and all-weather performance
  • Mono Spiral Belt (MSB) construction - a continuous single strand is wrapped around the circumference of the tire
  • One-piece construction eliminates overlapping of belts, seams and joints
  • Lighter, better straightaway stability, and better shock absorption than cross belt construction
  • Increased stability since it minimizes heat generation inside the tire and provides high bump absorption
  • Lighter than conventional multi-cross belt construction
  • Tread pattern designed to provide good shock absorption with less vibration and noise to minimize fatigue on longer rides
  • Provides steering precision and supports high cornering speed with extra stability in any road condition (wet and dry)
  • Inner and outside bead filler gives optimum force distribution and rigidity balance
  • Combines advantages of both sport tire and touring tire to provide luxury and ease at high speed riding - from highway to winding road
  • High stability in highway riding, sport riding, and loaded sport touring conditions
  • Secure feel with rich feedback and contact feel in all conditions, especially at high speed
  • Designed for touring oriented riders wanting serious performance and high mileage
  • Blackwall
  • This motorcycle tire is tubeless
  • These sport touring motorcycle tires are Z rated for speeds up to 149+ mph

  • Available in the following motorcycle tire sizes:160/60ZR-17 and 190/50ZR-17.

    • 160/60ZR-17 is O.E.M replacement for Yamaha FZ6R 2009

    Good rear tire
Using it on the rear of my Suzuki Hayabusa for better rear tire life than the stock rear tire. Stock rear was hosed at 4000 miles and will see how long this tire lasts. I don't do burnouts or any of that squirrel stuff but the bike is still hard on rear tires. So far it seems to be holding up well. I don't use my bike as a big sportbike but use it as more of fast touring bike and long dayrides.

    Great Tire
I just got 15K (!) usage out of this tire riding relatively non aggressive most of the time on a Bandit 1200 utilizing minimum back braking. Handling feel and stability left me confident. Chicken skin leaning lines were down to 14" or less off the edge! Great tire!
