Best Value Performance Tire for Cruisers
5
On my 2005 Victory Kingpin I've gone through 5 of these on the rear. I'm ready to get the 6th mounted. I get about 10k miles per tire without hot-dogging it too much. With the matching front tire (Exedra 851G) the handling is outstanding. Turn in is lighter than the OEM Dunlops, but there is a tendency to follow larger pavement seams. Smaller seams, cracks and tar snakes are no problem.
Pros: :
  • Traction
  • Handling
  • Smooth ride
Cons: :
  • Acceptable, but not great on dirt roads
  • Slighly unstable on very rough pavement

Have never tried this tire to find it's limits. Tire life is not near what I was hoping for, but it has done good for 6,500 miles. For the price, it's a good value since I do my own tire changes. If I was paying someone, I would buy a better tire, but I would rather spend that money on gas.

It's a good tire for the money. Tread life is under 5000 miles under normal adult riding.

I have no problems getting 7-8000 miles out of this tire on a VROD. Great price for a very good tire. Much better than the stock Dunlops.

G850 rear tire

I like the price and traction of this tire but I had hoped to get at least 5k miles out it on my Vrod and I only got maybe 4k. I did do about 3 small burnouts with it and I accelerate hard and ride fast a lot so I guess that's the price you pay.

I want to know if this tire would work on my BMW R1159RT. I Know it is not considered a big cruzer but will it be OK to but it on a sport tour bike?
Sam Camarena
Yes this tire may be used. It will feel a little stiff and not flex as much as your used to.
