Great option

For the price, this tire cannot be beat as an 80/20 or 70/30 option. Good tread life(5k or so on a rear), and seems to stick everywhere. Not a QUIET tire, and it will vibrate a bit till it wears in, but that is to be expected on a tread like this.

Full Bore + VStrom 1000 = Happy

Bought these tires to replace Shinkos that were having tread separation and cracking on only 5000mi. Have had this on for a year now and run 9000mi. and for whatever reasons these tires hook up and wear better both on and off-road than their replacements. Although they do have the same tread pattern the grooves between the blocks are wider and provide more traction in the sand and best of all no tread separation on radial tires. This on a VStrom 1000.
Pros: :
  • No cracking or tread separation
  • Great traction
  • Good wear

One of the best

Truly an EXCELLENT tire in all respects second to the Tourance only in cornering grip. Superior stability and offroad capability.I ride a 2001 r1150gs and I have ridden professionally. I have owned over 2 dozen BMW GS' and I typically ride reasonably aggressively. I push my bike pretty hard in the city and very hard in the dirt. I weigh 220 lbs and I have a top of the line Ohlins suspension. I have used every other tire made for the GS from TKC's to Metzelers and everything in between. These tires have a harder compound so they stand firmer and don't corner as well as a Tourance which I consider the gold standard for cornering on a GS. I dropped the air down a couple pounds to compensate. I put 1000 miles on them in very difficult terrain (serious rocks loose dirt significant grade changes) and was very impressed. I put another 2000 on them in the city and highw

  • Traction

Excellent Tire

I was hesitant at first to order these tires due to the cost. However I matched this tire to a front full bore M-41 90/90-21" bias front. The front bias and the rear radial on my 2013 Triumph Tiger XC was a beautiful match. They performed well under all riding conditions including wet dry and aggressive cornering on the tarmac as well as gravel roads. I am ordering my second set.

  • Traction

This tire was used on a Yamaha Super Tenere. I was only able to squeeze 4500mi out of the rear tire under normal use. The bike has traction control engaged so no rear wheel spin under throttle and no smokey burnouts. I was hoping for a little longer life. On road traction was on par with the Bridgestones and Michelins that I've used in the past. Offroad these tires performed very well on dry hardpack gravel and maintained forest service roads.

Does this tire have a Load Index rating? I'm looking to put on front of my Harley, so it's kinda important to know that information.
amiee, New York
This is a rear tire and I would not recommend putting it on your front wheel. Traction will be compromised.
