Great Value Tire

Have had a few of these on my F650GS Dakar. I have been satisfied with them and not found a reason to spend twice as much trying out something else. The center tread wears out around 5k, but previous tires have lasted to around 15k before the rubber was dangerously low. Oddly i now live outside the city and commute through more twisty roads, but the current tire wore out completely around 10k. Must be rougher road surfaces out here. I have on occasion broke the rear end loos in corners, but usually am able to feel it and recover (except with rain, gravel, oil, etc.), so feel it is doing a decent job. I do very little off road but this has been fine when i have.
Pros: :
  • Least expensive
  • Predictable
Cons: :
  • tire center wears fast

Great tire for highway paved road or forest service roads. Not so great on wet trails & mud. Corners really tight you can lay the bike way over in a tight corner & it grips perfect. Performs well in the rain...a big plus because it rains here 24/7/365 & a half.Tread wears even & lasts for over 5000 miles. I have run two sets of Gripsters & two sets of Kenda K270's before this better than a Gripster off road only thing Gripster can offer is long tread life 14000 miles on rear for one set but the second set the rear was bald in 9000. Well worth the $$ if you run low budget like I do
Pros: :
  • Traction
