Half the knobs are missing

My buddy has a 2016 KTM 500 exc street legal bike. He has worn out 2 Dunlop 606 rear tires. So he ask me what dot approved knobby tire would you put on? Had a friend say that he has run the Kenda K772. I order one and install it for him. Takes off on an out of state trip, but only makes it 20 miles. See pictures. The knobs start flying off and he almost bites shit at around 70 miles an hour on the freeway. I go pick him up, half the center knobs perfect, the other half of the center knobs are hollowed and start to rip apart. Friends pissed and said he shit a little in new white-e-tighties. Sends a E-mail to Kenda today and gets this reply.

Dear XXXX,

Thank you for contacting us with your concern. Knobbies should not be hollow, and I apologize you had to experience this. Please contact the dealer to have the tire warrantied.

Thanks For Riding Kenda!

Thanks for riding KENDA, are you fing joking.

Great tire, works well on XR600R

Great tire, great wear and works in most conditions very well. I have it mounted on a Honda XR600R and ride forest roads, rocky, muddy and sandy terrain. It does well and even after 300 miles of asphalt riding and forest roads it barely shows any wear. Highly recommened.
Pros: :
  • Value
  • Durability
  • Traction in various terrain
Cons: :
  • None

Kendra Parker DT Rear

Better than I thought. I race hare scrambles in the NC mountains areas with rocks, hard pack, roots, big hill climbs, gnarly terrain. While others were getting stuck on the hills I cliimbed right up no problem with these, just went around while hooking up. Surprised at the traction of these, also how good they stop and also how long they last at the same time. My go to tire for now. This is a rear tire review only. I also run it in the intermediate direction.
Pros: :
  • Hooks up like a champ on gnarly terrain and last a loong time.
Cons: :
  • None so far, my tire of choice on the rear for now.

Outstanding tire...Kenda Parker Desert

This review is for the rear and I will review the front on that page.

I ride the deserts and mountains of SoCal. These tires were recommended to me by a friend and I basically laughed at him. Kenda...really? I hated the Pirelli XC MH's I had on the bike because they were junk on hard pack. Great on intermediate and soft but like on ice and would slide and spin wildly on even the slightest turns and attempts to accelerate on the hard packed SoCal roads and single track.

I have the tire mounted in the 'Intermediate" direction and it hooks up well in all types of terrain...including the sand washes but really works well on the more hard packed Forestry roads and intermediate dirt single track trails. These Kenda Parker Desert tires a pleasant surprise.

Wear seems good so far and probably better than most other tires I have used.

These are DOT approved and the value for the price cannot be beat.

One great do it all tire

I mounted it in the intermediate direction. Its predictable on hardback desert terrain. Hooks up strong in deep sand. I bought it for So Cal desert riding and for that it's hard to beat. That doesn't mean it can't do So Cal mountain trails. Even though it's mounted for intermediate it's acceptable. But if it's main purpose was mountain, so cal mountains are not so loamy so I would opt for the hardback direction when riding so cal mtn. As for wear. Hands down it's flat out the best wearing tire I've ever seen. Picture is when it had 130 modest paced desert miles
