Transformed the bike
I bought this tire for my '14 FJR1300A. It has transformed the bike. I was starting to wonder if I'd bought the wrong bike because I was always nervous going into corners, it always felt like the bike was slipping a bit. I've only had them on the bike for a few hundred miles at this point but they have made the bike a joy to ride. They are so confidence inspiring that I don't need to second guess every corner I head into.

The tread life rating is based on information from others that have used the tire as I don't have enough wear to have a good idea how long they'll last.

The value rating is middle of the road. They're probably the most expensive tires I've ever bought for a motorcycle which makes the value proposition a question mark at this point. If they last as long as a lot of folks claim they'll be worth it. Time will tell.
Pros: :
  • Confidence inspiring
Cons: :
  • Expensive

I have A KTM950SM that I ride on dirt as much as possible, back tires are constantly getting holes from rocks. I,M thinking this GT with what I assume is A heavier carcass might be the ticket what do folks think? Thanks
amiee, New York
The Pilot Road tire is not really a dual sport or offroad tire. It is considered a sport touring tire which indeed does have a harder compound.
