  • Michelin 2CT (Two Compound Technology) with silica charged rubber compounds provides excellent grip from 23F to 113F
  • Specially formulated to provide excellent grip on a wide range of road surfaces, including painted lines and pedestrian crossings, making it easier for you to ride with confidence in virtually all conditions
  • Dependable grip, even in challenging conditions, so riding in the rain should feel safer and more secure, and a lot less stressful
  • Wear resistant compounds make the Michelin Pilot Road 4 street bike tires last up to 20% longer than the Michelin Pilot Road 3 tires
  • The center 20% of the rear tire is a hard rubber compound to withstand aggressive acceleration and braking
  • The remaining 40% of the rear tire on each shoulder is a medium rubber compound to maximize grip on the lean angle
  • Michelin XST+ (X-Sipe Technology +) siping and enhanced tread patterns for optimum grip at all lean angles
  • Patented sipes and integrated water reservoir technology gives increased water drainage capacity and delivers exceptional grip on wet roads
  • Transverse sipes allow the front tire to break the water film and ensure outstanding braking in wet weather
  • Circumferential sipe and solid strip around the middle of the rear tire enhance traction to help you quickly get up to speed
  • Chamfers added to the sipe edges help prevent abnormal wear in extreme conditions
  • Stops 17% faster than its closest competitor on wet roads, and 24% faster on a wet slippery surface such as a pedestrian crossing or painted lines*
  • This motorcycle tire is tubeless
  • These sport touring motorcycle tires are W rated for speeds up to 168 mph

Best tire for sport bikes
5
I purchased a set of the tires for my CBR1000RR. I ride a lot of freeway to and from work but also run the canyons hard on the weekend. I needed a tire that wouldn't wear out fast from straight line riding. This tire has been awesome and isn't showing any signs of wear yet.
Pros: :
  • great for cornering.
  • great tread life.
Cons: :
  • nothing to complain about

Best tire for sport bikes
5
I was looking for a tire that I could use for freeway riding as well as running canyons hard. I love this tire as it has given me the overall performance I was looking for. The center tread is wearing out as fast as other tires I have bought before. Sticks to the road during hard cornering.
Pros: :
  • Long Life
  • sticky rubber for cornering
  • Best bang for the buck
Cons: :
  • Can't think of any cons

GREAT TIRE!

For the price of this tire, it is sure worth the money! I've put at least 2000 miles on it since I've gotten it and there's no sign of tread loss and I ride my bike hard! I own a 2002 Yamaha FZ1. So if you want dependability, please get this tire. I'll never choose anything else. I'm expecting at least 13,000 miles out of this rear tire
Pros: :
  • dependability
  • feels secure
  • excellent grip
  • high miles
Cons: :
  • pricey

Outstanding grip in all conditions and all weather

On New Zealand roads road4s rule the roost as far as stability. Handling and wet weather riding is concerned. I get approximately 30000 kilometres out of mine on my Hayabusa.
Pros: :
  • Good website
Cons: :
  • none

Nice grip

I have loved this tire so far. Gives me a lot more confidence in the rain than the Pilot Power rear tire I had before. Too early to tell on life of tire. pilot Power lasted 6000 mi.

I have a CBR1000RR and I'm looking at the Michelin Pilot Road 4's. Should I go with the Road 4 or the Road 4 GT? I do a lot of highway riding but run the canyons hard on the weekends. I very rarely ever have a passenger with me.
Chris, Ogden, UT
The Michelin Pilot Road 4GT tire is designed for passenger riding. It carries a heavier load rating than the standard Michelin Pilot Road 4.
