Motoz Tractionator Desert H/T Hard Terrain Rear Tire - Details

If you have a long ride ahead, and you know the conditions will be rough, a Motoz Tractionator motorcycle tire is the right choice. The Tractionator Desert is designed to handle harder terrain, especially hard trails, desert sand with hard pack variations and fast rocky conditions. Its unique patented tread design handles off camber sections to help climb out of ruts and hard braking at extreme lean angles.

  • Made from 100% natural rubber, nothing else provides the same elasticity, reflex and deflection for the best traction
  • Heavy duty case construction with a dense weave ply cord so greater strength and higher ply rating is achieved with less ply layers
  • Constructed with thicker side walls for maximum strength
  • Sidewalls and rim area are specially designed to protect the rim, but also to minimize pinch flats
  • Vertical reinforcement section between the sidewall layers for greater sidewall strength
  • Carcass is protected by a thick layer of rubber under the tread and around the sidewalls to help minimize punctures
  • Rubber cushion zone allows a small amount of flex under the tread blocks to aid reflex traction and reduce chunk off, increasing tire life and acting as a heat sink to help cool the tire in extreme conditions
  • Terrapactor tread block design and placement helps compact, compress or wedge the terrain creating extra traction, drive and lift
  • This unique concept coupled with the use of superior rubber quality works to lessen the impact on the terrain and provide extra traction
  • Crown Radius Section specifically matched to the application, not just a heavier motocross tire
  • Specifically designed for quick fitting and reduced service times
  • Good for long mileage, hard packed desert (like sand over concrete)
  • Excellent absorption and puncture resistance for outback and dirt back roads
  • Known all over the world for being dependable in the toughest conditions - used in desert racing from Morocco to Baja
  • These dirt bike tires are M rated for speeds up to 81 mph
  • DOT approved

Designed for use in the following conditions:
  • 95% Dry - 5% Wet
  • 90% Hard - 10% Soft

Available in the following motorcycle tire sizes: 110/100-18, 130/90-18, 140/80-18, and 110/90-19

Tractionator on XR650R
4
I've put 760 miles on the set of these so far on my XR650R, have about 60% tread left on rear 90% on front. Works well for singletrack, rocky jeep trails, and has done surprisingly well on pavement. Front tire is a bit noisy. Sidewall takes rock hits well.

Great tire for both worlds

I did a ton of research on rear tires for my 14 klx 250 that suits my riding style and this tire is the one I pulled to trigger on. After about 1k of riding mostly pavement there's hardly any signs of where. Even better I live in Florida and this tread pattern eats through the sugar sand like a champ it's incredible the center block acts a paddle and it just shreds whatever you throw at it. Highly impressed will buy again there is alil road noise on pavement but I'm not bothered by that

Very impressed

I used this tire on my 690 Enduro when riding the TAT. I took it through all different kinds of terrain and ended up getting nearly 3500 miles out of it. Normally the 690R chews up rear tires in 1000 miles or less but not this one. It was worth every penny and is my go-to dual sport rear tire.
Pros: :
  • Durable
  • Great traction
  • Good value

After Three Rides

I went from a Trial rear tire to this tire. This tire gives as much (if not more) traction than my old trials tire did, with an added bonus of actually maintaining traction in corners now. I ride up in the mountains usually (Silverwood, Arrowhead) and this tire fits my riding style perfectly. I haven't seen any downsides to this tire as of yet besides the obvious rule of don't over inflate the tire. I usually run it at 12-13psi with no issues at all. 15psi was too much for me as the rear slid out more often.

To my novice eyes, the tread pattern is exactly what I want in a rear tire: Larger knobs that won't break off after a few rides. After trying this tire, I have a feeling when it comes to change my front, I'll be moving over to MotoZ as well.
Pros: :
  • Traction in dirt, rocky, and mud
  • Price was on par with other tires
  • Tire wear seems to be fantastic so far.
  • Made my friends jealous and instantly made them want the tire after they tried it on my bike.
Cons: :
  • As with all tires, don't over-inflate the tire, you'll really regret the stability

is it long lasting?
Kevin Beard
The wear of this tire will be mostly dependent upon your riding style, location, terrain, etc. This tire is meant for more abuse than most, but if your going to rock climb with it, expect it to wear like most other tires would when heavily abused.
